“Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it.

Boldness has genius, power and magic in it!” -Goethe.

Psychotherapy is a healing profession. It is a discipline and a practice which enables the client to begin to live more of the life that they want to live.

Life doesn't always go the way we want it to.Psychotherapy can enable people to come to terms with life as it is, when it is not going as we wish.

Sometimes life does go as we wish, we are able to live our dreams. Psychotherapy can help us find and create our dreams and celebrate our sucess.

To know who we really are and how we can shape our lives is a learning experience.

Psychotherapy works in two main ways:

1.By listening hearing, valuing the person just as they are and relating to them with respect and without judgement. The authentic being of the person before me.

2.By listening to the "real" potential person behind the words and social masks and expectations.Listening for the person who is becoming.

The main difference between Counselling and Psychotherapy is a matter of depth and variety.Psychotherapy tends to be longer term so all problems are explored to a greater depth.Counselling can be short term or brief and focal. For some people this is all that they require.Psychotherapy  gives the time and respect to get to the roots of the presenting problems and find ways of either accepting them or moving through them.

All sessions are confidential and contained within the ethical boundaries of U.K.C.P .
